Introducing Northern Europe: A New Chapter in Luxury Custom Travel

Custom journeys through Norway, Sweden, Denmark and Finland, curated for you.

There is a genuine, welcoming warmth in the far north that meets you the moment you arrive. It is standing beside a Norwegian fjord as midnight holds the last golden light of day, or sharing home-baked pastries with a local host in Copenhagen with a kindred feeling of connection. Today, Enchanting Travels extends its luxury custom travel design into the region. We craft each journey around you, taking care of every detail behind the scenes so you can focus entirely on the people you travel beside and the beauty around you.

Heading North

The north answers three wishes many travelers share right now. Some want long, cool summer days while southern Europe swelters. Some want a slower pace, fewer crowds, an evening with nothing planned but the view. And some want the edge of the map, the Arctic places where the sky itself becomes the reason to go. Northern Europe offers all three, often within the same journey.

There is a mythic quality to how life moves across these higher latitudes. Here, light itself becomes the main protagonist, swinging from endless midsummer twilights over Tromsø to winter skies ignited by the aurora.

Nordic hospitality forgoes grand marble lobbies in favor of pale pine, radiant warmth beneath your feet, and floor-to-ceiling glass that turns the surrounding forest into living art. In Finland, the wood-fired sauna is less an amenity and more a sacred daily ritual of restoration. Because Scandinavian architecture favors intimate, sanctuary-like spaces over formal excess, your Travel Consultant personally curates the exact boutique retreats and high-design lodges that align with your individual idea of comfort.

Explore Luxury Custom Journeys through Northern Europe

Every journey is built uniquely for you upon an invisible framework of care—private transfers waiting at every arrival, first-class rail seats secured in advance, and a dedicated team managing every detail in the background, leaving you entirely free to feel the wonder of where you are.

Where will you go next?

Norwegian Fjords

In the Geirangerfjord, seven waterfalls sit side-by-side down the cliff. Locals call them the Seven Sisters, and from the opposite wall a single fall, the Suitor, is said to raise his bottle to them. The journey begins in Oslo, where you can walk across the sloping marble roof of the Opera House above the fjord, then continues to the Art Nouveau town of Ålesund and on to Geiranger, Flåm and Bergen, with lunch along the way at a family orchard pouring its own award-winning cider.

Essential Scandinavia by Rail

After Stockholm, Copenhagen and Oslo, the train climbs onto the Hardangervidda, Europe’s largest high-mountain plateau. At Myrdal, you change to the Flåm Railway and descend toward the fjord through tunnels mostly dug by hand, pausing at Kjosfossen to stand in the waterfall’s spray. In Bergen, among the Hanseatic timber warehouses of Bryggen, a boat carries you to an island restaurant where the menu is written each night by the weather.

Scandinavian Summer Capitals

In June, Stockholm keeps close to eighteen hours of light. Cycle through Djurgården, the world’s first National City Park, and lunch in the greenhouses of Rosendals Trädgård. Then on to Copenhagen and Oslo, and a drive into the countryside to Kistefos, where an architectural gallery called The Twist bridges the river like a sculptural ribbon floating above the water.

Nordic Capitals

In Copenhagen, a local host invites you into their home, lights the candles and sets out homemade pastries for a delightful conversation about hygge, the Danish art of being exactly where you are. The journey links Oslo, Copenhagen, Stockholm and Helsinki, combining a kayak through Stockholm’s canals with a visit to Helsinki’s Rock Church, carved into solid granite.

Winter in Scandinavia

Three capitals by first-class rail lead to Tromsø, 217 miles above the Arctic Circle, where polar explorers once set out into the dark. From November to January, humpbacks, fin whales and orcas feed in its fjords. At night, a private guide chases the aurora for up to seven hours, crossing into Finland if that is where the sky is clear.

Sweden Winter Highlights

From Stockholm, fly north to Harads, a Swedish Lapland village of around 500 people. Sleep in a treehouse among the pines or at Arctic Bath, whose spa floats on the Lule River. Drive your own husky team across frozen lakes, and spend time in the lávvu of a Sámi host as she sings the joik of her people beside an open fire. You leave knowing the forest a little the way she does.

Finnish Lapland Winter

In Levi, a photographer guide chooses from more than fifty viewing spots to find the clearest sky, and on a clear night you watch the Northern Lights from beneath a heated glass dome. Outside Rovaniemi, on the Arctic Circle, ride a reindeer sleigh with a working herder, and if children are with you, spend two hours at Santa’s home in the forest. It is the kind of trip you will talk about for years.

We are here to help you find the places that will personally mean the most to you and those you are traveling beside. And while you travel, a dedicated team is available around the clock, so if the weather turns or someone needs a slower afternoon, the day changes shape as you prefer.
