If you're looking for a contrast to the bustling urban areas of the city, then a day-trip to Hong Kong's largest island is the perfect solution. It only took us around 30 minute to get to Lantau Island, including the time spent inside a picturesque cable car ride.

Ngong Ping 360 Cable Car

This cable car ride provides spectacular views of Lantau Island's coastline, mountains, and landscapes. It connects Tung Chung, near the Hong Kong International Airport, to Ngong Ping Village.

We didn't get na the glass flooring because of the price difference, but I love that we were assigned in a car with a local. She was on the way to Lantau Island to pray in the monastery. We had a good conversation, and she even took our pictures! So funny that we had a foggy view half of the time but it's okay.
